The bill is not settled once the operation is over. What follows are weeks of strict leash walking and controlled exercise build-up — and it is precisely this phase that generates its own costs, which are missing from many cost estimates. Physiotherapy is the largest single item: a session costs around 30 to 60 euros depending on the practice, and 8 to 10 sessions are typical, so roughly 400 to 800 euros.^[4][1] The GOT rate has no dedicated item for physiotherapy, which is why prices vary widely from practice to practice.^[2]
