Claim handyman costs against tax: As an owner-occupier of your property, you can deduct twenty per cent of the pure labour costs charged by tradespeople (not material costs) from your tax liability. The maximum deductible amount is EUR 6,000 per year, which corresponds to a tax saving of up to EUR 1,200.
